Garden of Wellness

Our physical, mental and emotional health are intertwined to give us fullness of life. A healthy life work balance  is achieved when we take care of our body, mind and spirit. With an overall goal of helping people reconnect with their wellness as we navigate through the impacts of the pandemic, Think Africa  offers its members a wellness package! Activities range from weekly cardio dance, daily social step challenge, monthly visit to nature and focused wellness/wellbeing chat.

Aims and achievements

A path to personal wellness is easiest accomplished in a group. Motivating one another to experience holistic living through engagement in physical, mental and social wellbeing activities.

The purpose of Wellness garden is but not limited to the following:

  • To encourage participation in health promoting activities among African diaspora
  • To support participants’ wellness lifestyle through organised wellbeing activities/workshop/events
  • To work in collaboration with other stakeholders and providers of wellness service in hope of bringing more value to participants
  • To support the individual growth of each participant

Activities

  • Weekly dance cardio workout with music (Dance Cardio (HIIT) Workout). @16:00 -1700  at Dancemakers Studio Studio 3,  Aleksis Kiven katu 32-34, 00510 Helsinki
  • Daily social step challenge (5000, 7000 and 10000 steps)
