Helsinki, 19th November 2021 – The largest annual African-Finnish event in Finland, Think Africa Week, will underscore the importance of key stakeholders working together to promote connection and inclusion for individuals, communities and societies.
It will also support the goals of the Finland-Africa strategy announced last spring and foster discussions on international cooperation and business opportunities.
Connecting and Reconnecting is the theme for this year, as the impact of the pandemic has been enormous. Cooperation between countries and continents is even more important in the post-pandemic world than ever before.
The event, which brings together people from different backgrounds to share, network and inspire will take place in the Finnish capital Helsinki from 27th November to 4th December 2021.
The hybrid event can be participated in person and online. All the events are free to the public and the themes of the program are the following:
- Towards a more connected society – 27th Nov. 2021 (Helsinki Cultural Hall)
- Re-connecting integration policies to immigrants’ experiences: Case of Morocco-Finland Africa tripartite cooperation – 29th Nov. 2021 (Oodi library)
- Closing the gap between the African diaspora and Finland-Africa strategy: A workshop for concrete actions – 30th Nov. 2021 (Hotel Helkka)
- Rethink Africa: Expanding opportunities through technology and collaboration – 1st Dec. 2021 (Messukeskus)
- Connecting with your health: Move, think, and eat to live well – 4th Dec. 2021 (Vapaakaupunki Olohuone)
