Following Think Africa’s Annual General Meeting in May 2025, we are delighted to introduce our newly elected Board of Trustees. This dynamic group will guide the long-term strategy of our organisation, ensure we remain in good standing, and lead our efforts to connect communities, champion the African diaspora, and build strong partnerships between Finland and Africa.
Being a Board member at Think Africa brings several benefits, from an increased network at various levels to new leadership and management skills that come from leading a largely volunteer-driven organisation. Only members of Think Africa, i.e., those who have paid their membership fees, and have shown commitment to Think Africa's mission, can become part of the Board. Read more here on becoming a Think Africa member.
Now, please meet Think Africa’s Board of Trustees for 2025-2027:

Roberto Blanco Raitasuo – Board Member
Hello Think Africa! I’m Roberto Blanco Raitasuo (or just Rob). Raised in Barcelona by a Finnish-Spanish family, my multicultural upbringing—surrounded in school by kids from Morocco, Latin America, and beyond— was key in shaping my passion for diversity and justice.
With degrees in journalism and IR, I’m drawn to Africa’s rich cultures and global equity. I also have a love for languages, arts, and nature, which are also family weaknesses, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Now on Think Africa’s board, I aim to learn, collaborate, and push for a fairer world—through dialogue and action. Let’s build better, together.
